Research Interests

My research is concerned with gender in academia.

Specifically, I am interested in exploring whether being female and feminine can be viewed as something that can help overcome disadvantage in organisational life rather than mostly being the source of discrimination and disadvantage. Building on the notion of multiple masculinities, I am exploring the concept of multiple femininities and what this means. In analysing these points, I am interested in seeing the impact turning gender into a commodity has on employees and their social relations.
